Pauls Macs (he/him)

Pauls Macs is a Seattle/New York-based director, producer, and educator. While working in New York, he has directed world premiere plays, films, operas, and musicals. 

Select directing credits include The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, Disney's Newsies, King Richard III, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, I Would Consider Giving Up (world premiere), The Dark Don’t Hide It (world premiere), Jack and Jill (world premiere), Petronilla (world premiere), Gutenberg! The Musical!, The Drowsy Chaperone, Urinetown: The Musical, and The Musical of Musicals: The Musical.

Pauls has served as the Executive Assistant to the Artistic Directors of The 5th Avenue Theatre. Also at 5th Avenue, he directed The Concert For America, and was the Assistant Director on three mainstage productions. Pauls is the Artistic Associate at New York Theatre Barn, a non-profit theatre company that serves as an inclusive home for original culture shifting musicals during incubation.

He graduated with his MFA in Directing: Theatre and Film from The New School in New York City. 

Aaron M. Davis Norman (they/them)

Aaron M. Davis Norman is a music director, performer, and educator originally from Compton, California. With a background in vocal performance, vocal health/technique, and music composition, Aaron has been blessed to work with incredible musicians across Europe. Canada, and the United States in my different genres of music. Select music directing credits include Mamma Mia!, Little Shop of Horrors, and Songs For A New World (Village Theatre), Nina Simone: Four Women (Seattle Rep); and Hedwig and the Angry Inch (ArtsWest).

Ayana Uriu (she/her)

Born and raised in Everett, WA, Ayana’s passion for theatre started in middle school when she played Cinderella’s Father and the Steward in Into the Woods Jr. She’s come a long way since then! Ayana attended Western Washington University and earned a BA in Theatre Arts studying acting, stage management, and production management. She has worked with Village Theatre KIDSTAGE since 2012, wearing many hats as a stage manager, programs coordinator, educator, and administrator, and she is now the proud KIDSTAGE Production Manager in Everett. Favorite stage management credits include: Les Misérables School Edition, In the Heights, and Disney’s Newsies (KIDSTAGE), and Marshall Law Band's Hero's Journey: A Hip-Hop Opera (Carco Theatre). Since 2013, Ayana has been the Director of the Evergreen Middle School Drama Club, where she first got her start in theatre! Ayana will always call the PNW “home”, and will forever be passionate about the artists who work, live, and create here. Ayana would like to thank her amazing students, incredibly supportive friends and family, and whales.

Jeremy Steckler (he/him)

Jeremy Steckler is an actor, director, and musician based out of Seattle. After attending the University of Washington to study at the Foster School of Business, Jeremy worked in sales and marketing at DocuSign, Affirma Consulting, and The Channel Company. In addition to his professional marketing pursuits, Jeremy has continued to perform as an actor and musician throughout the Seattle area at such theatres as Taproot Theatre, Seattle Shakespeare, and Village Theatre. He is ecstatic to join the Gaisma team and looks forward to supporting new Seattle musical theatre productions.

Justin Tran (he/him)

Justin Tran is an actor, music director and pianist excited to help kickstart this new company. He initially moved to Seattle for a job in the tech industry, but in 2022 was able to focus his energy into theatre. Since then, favorite credits include A Charlie Brown Christmas (Taproot Theatre), The Spitfire Grill (Edmonds Driftwood Players), and A Night with the Russells: The Legacy Of Us (Taproot Theatre).

Justin designed the Gaisma Theatre Group website, and is excited to meet more people in the Seattle theatre community and to help create a company that values representation in both the cast and production teams of new musicals.
